Title: Jesus Prayed for You
Did you know that? It’s true. Just turn to John chapter 17 beginning in verse 20. Here Jesus Himself is talking just before He was handed over to be crucified. You will find Him speaking to the Father on your behalf. So, what did Jesus ask for you when He prayed?
Increased faith in Him? Never-ending mercy? Endless grace? Life to the full?
Yes, to all of these. Here Jesus says, “I am praying not only for these disciples, but also for all who believe in me through their message. (Meaning everyone that would ever wear the title Christian, including you). I pray that they all will be one, just as you and I are one - as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.”
So, how are Jesus and our Father God one? They are together through the good and bad times. They are loving even when it hurts. They are faithful even to death. They are victorious in good and bad times, through pain and loss, and especially over death and destruction.
When you choose to be one with God you choose to be together, loving, faithful, and victorious. Who could pray for you any better? Thankful for you,
Brandon
